My first Birthday

Hello all,

Been a while since we last met. I turned a year old recently ( well not quite recently, it's been a couple of months now). Here are a few pictures from the party . There is also one video from before the birthday. I was keeping myself busy, so I wouldn't think about the birthday and get excited/worked up etc.. :)

Dad has promised he'll work on some videso for all of you during the christmas holiday season. He's been fairly busy with work so we'll cut him some slack here. Anyway, enjoy these pictures for now

I believe I can fly!!

Hello All,
I've got exciting news to share!!
I've entered a new phase of my life. I am walking :)
Check this short video out :

Granted, I look a little like "Happy Feet" penguins when I walk, but with time I'll perfect this :)Rumours are that I'm walking so much, that I'll be a pro in no time ;)

I made my first long distance road trip to Ooty with mom and dad.Enjoy a few pictures from the trip.

1. Mom and Calf Elephant. Apparently, they were good fun to watch. I wouldn't know 'cos I was fast asleep when dad shot this

3. All 3 of us inside a tea estate. It was very cold ( Bbbbrrrrrrrr!!). Hence all the layers of clothing

Now, that I've started walking and running seems like natural progression, I'm thinking I should fly next. I believe I can fly!!!

Hello Again -

Hello all,
As promised, we've got loads of stuff in this post (the second on this month). My dad has finally found the time to finish that video and there are a few new pictures and a Caricature!!!

Things have changed since I first came into this world. 9 months ago, I had to stay content with people carrying me around inside the four walls of my house.
Then, I learnt to roll, so I could get a 360 degree view of the world ( read that as the "room" I was in :)). Next came my ability to crawl and move from room to room. Now, I've learnt to stand with support for as long as I want, walk a few steps with support and the latest is, i can stand without support for a few seconds.

Anyway, I hate blowing my own trumpet, so enjoy these pictures and the video.

Ceremony

Hello All, It's been a while since my last post. Sorry to keep you waiting. Dad's been busy with work (not to imply that work is mor eimportant than me!!). To make up for my absence for so long, here is a double treat: This month there will be two posts with videos and pictures. The first video is of a ceremony that is performed when I first crawl and cross the doorstep. This tradition, I believe, originates from the times when entrances to homes had high thresholds and someone my age, crossing them was considered a big achievement. Anyway, I crossed the doorstep and guess what I got showered with sweet dumplings made from rice :) Here goes

My Annaprashanam!!

Hi All,
I was introduced to the world of solid food on 20th April 2008. Made me realise there's so much yummy stuff out there for me to eat!!!! :)

Hello again

Hello everyone. It's been almost a month since my last post. Dad's been busy with work and hasn't had the time to work on any more videso, but i promise you he will get something done soon, so you can see my latest antics :)

This was when I was on my dad's lap wishing him safe travels before one of his trips. I was sad to see him go away for two weeks :(














This one is my favorite picture from recent times. Three grown men ( Dad - he's behind the camera- and two of my chittappas) were trying to figure out the most optimum position of the bottle, so the milk flows perfectly. I was hungry as hell and just wanted the bottle. I am old enough to figure out how to place the bottle :). It was hilarious!!!

Great response

Hi all,
I am overwhelmed by the great response to my blog. Thanks!!
Now for some news: On February 20th, I reached a major milestone in life. I turned on my own :) Now, I had done that bfore once or twice but had never made a habit out of it. Now, I turn on my own repeatedly and am trying to perfect the move! My dad's got a couple of picture of me trying to do this, but he's slow with technology and will need some more time to upload those<>. Anyway, here's a few more of my pictures till then. The first one is with mommy dear, then it's Murthy thatha ( dad's mama) and the third one is me in the cradle. Enjoy!

A small compilation of R's videos

The first half of this video was shot in Chennai when I was around 3.5 months old. The Hide and seek portion of this video was shot during the Grihapravesham on 11th February 2008. My dad has tried to maintain the audio balance, so you can hear me shriek as well as the audio track :)

Then there is a picture of me with Harish chittappa and Deepa athai.
